Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been a Greek American columnist, author and businesswoman for over 20 years. She is a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is an author, philanthropist, television personality as well as the proprietor of the independently free online news publication The Huffington Post. Born in Greece and moved to England when she was sixteen. When she attended Cambridge University, she graduated with a MA in Economics. As the first foreign student to serve as president of the highly regarded debating group The Cambridge Union, at 21, she was able to take over the position. After after her college graduation, she was a prominent Conservative syndicated journalist. After a few years later she created The Huffington Post which featured criticism of the present political landscape. The celebrity she enjoyed enabled her to get a variety of stars to voice their views regarding current affairs, the as well as politics and culture. Arianna gained fame in 2003 after she decided to run independently for the California recall election in order to succeed the then governor Davis. Alongside this, she directed a Detroit project that promoted fuel efficient cars. In 2009 she was named by Forbes as one of the top women in the media, achieving 12th place on the list. The same year Guardian named her to the top 100 list of media. In 2011 AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post and made the president of that media group which included many at the time-current AOL products, such as Engadget AOL music Style list as well as Patch Media. Their parents are Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos. They were who was a consultant in management as well as a journalist. While she enjoyed a strong connection to her mother and father, it was their bond that helped shape her. At an early age, she showed leadership abilities that remain highly respected. When she was in her 16th year she moved to Britain to study and enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. As a student, she joined the Cambridge Union, a college debate club. Being the third woman president and first foreigner, she was the president of Cambridge Union. Her graduation was in 1972 and she earned an MA in Economics. Following her degree, she was a columnist-critic and a host on TV. She appeared alongside Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she started writing the books she wrote with Bernard Levin's help.
