Dolly-Parton

Dolly Parton escaped the struggles that shaped her life at an early age through her imaginative and creative imagination. Before she learned to write and read Dolly Parton had already begun to compose her own songs. After getting her first guitar at the age of eight, she started to play on radio stations in Knoxville, Tennessee. In the following year, she made her debut album for Gold Band Records an independent small label. While in high school, she was able to establish herself within the school community but her dream was greater. After graduating from high school in 1964 she moved immediately to Nashville. Her first charting records for Monument Records included Dumb Blonde and Something Fishy both in 1967. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated television show host at the time was searching for a girl to sing for his program. Parton was offered the gig and in the year 1967, she signed to RCA Records in 1968 and joined the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. The show ended in 1974, as her own albums like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene were out-charting their collaborations. Parton recorded "I I Will Never Forget You" to Wagoner just after the pair split. The song was ranked the top spot at No. First time, in 1974.
