Sara Lynn Evans was born February 5, 1971. She was raised on a farm near New Franklin Missouri as the most senior of the seven children. Music has always been a element of her life. She when she was five, she sang every weekend in her family's group. As a teenager, she started performing in a nightclub near Columbia Missouri a gig that lasted 2 years. The singer moved from Missouri to Nashville Tennessee for the purpose of pursuing a career as an country artist in the year 1991. Sara was singing a song from Harlan Howard's Tiger By the Tail in County Q Studios when he heard her. He chose to have Sara perform his songs. RCA signed the singer to contract. Evans recorded Three Chords and the Truth in 1997. Critics praised it for the return to country music and included it in numerous top 10 lists. While she started out on feature films, she then was offered opportunities on television series as well and attained great success in the latter.
