Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American voice actor director producer, and vocalist. A beautiful and smart actress she serves as an example to numerous Asian actors who aspire to make it big in Hollywood. In the wake of a number of first performances in popular shows she gained fame when she joined the cast of the legal comedy show Ally McBeal where she played the malicious Ling Woo. In the wake of her success, she landed important roles in Shanghai Noon (1998) and Charlie's Angels (2000). The film Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an impressive performance in the role of Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii. She also played leading parts in box office flops like Rise: Blood Hunter. In later years, she worked as voice actor in animated films, including Kung Fu Panda. Small screen roles such as Mia Mason in Cashmere Mafia failed to produce results. A recurring role in the critically-acclaimed police drama series Southland allowed her to regain her status as an established actress. Liu picks her roles wisely to avoid becoming typecast in this competitive industry. While she's very proud of her ethnicity however, she is not letting that limit her creativity.
